"I have to say I waa really surprised at how nice this place was. The only issue for me (being a bigger bloke) was i couldn't fit in the shower as it only has a s.mall opening but I was able to get around ."

"Rooms were good size. Bed was large and comfy. Pillows were comfy. Bathroom was a good size. All very clean. The floors in the room are laminate and could do with a good hoover and mop. Swimming pool was a good size. Sauna and steam rooms were working and usable. Gym was small but had everything needed. £15 parking for 24hr is a let down. If your a staying guest parking should be included. Towels are supplied for use at the pool and gym so you don't have to take them from the room."

"The first room we were allocated was facing the bar and atrium so we asked to change to a room that faced outwards. The restaurant was good though a bit expensive. Coffee was also quite expensive."

"NO SOAP in the showers leading into the spa - disgusting. If I want to have a shower post-spa, there's no body wash or proper handwash around. Not very hygienic. The jacuzzi wasn't working - that's part of the reason I booked here. Not good enough in the summer frankly otherwise don't advertise it and over-promise if you can't maintain it, there's no excuses if you bait people in using that and then have a does not working sign, frankly I'm entitled to money back for false advertising. "Great customer service, wonderfully comfortable beds and quiet. Food in the pub was a little disappointing, rather expensive for what you got but the overall stay was great"

"Michael at reception was so helpful and gave me all the information I needed with regards to my room and food/drink. My room was clean, very peaceful and had a good sized desk and office chair so I was able to work during my stay. Food was nice and generous portions. The air con was fantastic in this hot weather. Overall an excellent hotel for business. I will be back!"

"The Staff were amazing, very helpful and while check in we had a confusion as we needed a connected room while booking had booked due to the fact that it had connected rooms, when we arrived after a 4 hrs. drive noticed that the booking was not as per how i booked. however the lady and the housekeeping staff helped to get a room quickly. this is amazing service, the only -ve i would say is the parking fee."

"Hotel is near the Jubilee campus but not near city centre. Clean and big room and staff was helpful. We had to pay for carpark at £6 per day. There used to be free carpark before this. It would be good if hotel guests are given free carpark like before as the price of the hotel stay is not cheap."

"Original old rooms but full of character. Comfortable bed, tea and coffee. Lovely river view with outside tables and chairs. Had dinner and breakfast which were very good. Ample parking"

"Check in was no frills. We arrived half an hour before check in and was offered a room but for an extra fee. I accidentally booked the room for one person so had to pay an extra £12 for breakfast which was fair enough but on check out an additional £10 for the extra person which I thought was unfair."

"pub is now closed but rooms still availble, you would need to go to another pub which is a 2 mins drive or 20 min walk for dinner. Lovely owner, very friendly."
