Pleasant Stay

Very welcoming- a lovely pleasant room. The bed was comfortable. We brought our own double sheet as we knew there would be a winter duvet in a heat wave!! The view from the window over the garden and Bagdale was good. We could have done with more loo roll and there was no coffee machine, but we would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous anniversary stay

What a lovely little gem we have found would recommend highly to anyone. Samantha the owner was really lovely and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our short stay. Even left us a bottle of prosecco for our anniversary the room was beautifully furnished and spacious it was lovely. Fabulous location close to the train station and we were lucky enough to get a parking space on the road behind the building.

Lovely old house

White Linen is a beautiful old house, very well kept and presented. It is situated within a few minutes walking distance of all Whitby's shops, restaurants and amenities, but still peaceful and quiet. Sam keeps everything spotless and is on hand to deal with anything that guests may need. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect about this place. It was really near the centre & very clean. It has some lovely details such as robes, waters and slippers. The bed was really comfy and we heard little noise. The rooms were really spacious and really well presented. We met some of the staff on arrival who were really helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again Thankyou

Great location shame about the shower!

Just returned from a two day stay at the White Linen hotel in Whitby. Location perfect and close to all amenities. The shower on the other hand was terrible. The pressure and temperature were totally inadequate!

Good location

Good location. Didn’t see anyone else in the building-no greeting. There wasn’t an espresso maker which had been listed. The place was nice and clean although a lot smaller than anticipated; photos made it appear a lot bigger than it is but wasn’t a problem as we didn’t spend much time in the room.

Find yourself a better accommodation for the ££££

Over complicated check in process (envelope was empty). Bent key (that wasn't labelled Yale as per instructions). The kettle wasnt clean, no tassimo coffee as per the in room guidance, worn out mattress, no wifi code available, an opened and partly used shampoo bottle left in the room without a lid The car port has space for two cars 24/7 access only (yet only four rooms) instructed to move car to streets away. What appears to be blood marks on a door frame with discarded clothing. Wouldnt mind if it was a £70 B&B but for a £138 a night receptionless accommodation, id expect much more. This is a unmanned hotel with a maid on call service.

Lovely weekend break

Probably the best place we’ve stayed in Whitby. Bernie and Malcolm have thought of everything to make the room extra special. Less than a minute walk into town. You will need to pay for parking until you get the scratch card that comes with the room.

Amazing Stay

I have wanted to stay here for sometime but every time have gone to Whitby it has always been booked and I now understand why. Location, comfort, cleanliness and attention to detail everything was just perfect we loved every minute of our stay. What a delightful property. Stylish, well presented and spotlessly clean. The location is central to Whitby town with lots of restaurants, shops etc on the doorstep. Pannet Park is close by and lovely to walk through. We were met on arrival by the hosts who made us feel very welcome. The room had lots of delightful treats such as chocolates and flapjack. A Tassimo coffee machine too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautiful property and look forward to returning again soon.

Stayed for 2 nights in the Top Deck room. Larger than expected, room is lovely and welcoming, comfortable and homely. Place was spotless and adhering to all COVID guidelines. Hosts were lovely, just wish we could have gotten to know them better, but due to social distancing and guidelines interaction was from afar and messages, but they still gave us a warm a welcome as they could in the current situation, provided everything needed and offered to provide more of anything we would need to make our stay as comfortable as possible. If we go back to Whitby we will jump at the chance to stay here again

White Linen is in a prime location and within a few minutes walk to the harbour. The “Endeavour” room is stunning as is the whole building. It’s a real credit to the owners, Bernie & Malcom who are amazing hosts. They made our visit a very special one. There was nothing that we could have wished for more although had we wanted anything extra, I know that it would not have been any trouble for Bernie & Malcolm. I would thoroughly recommend staying here & I should I return there is no doubt what so ever, this is where I shall book.

Very high standards at the White Lienen at Whitby. Spotless room with lots of extra little touches. The room is furnished matching the period of the house. Malcolm and Bernie very welcoming but not intrusive. After mentioning it was our anniversary they came straight back to our room with a bottle of bubbly. We will def be returning.
