"Ideally placed on the cliff top with noteworthy views across the estuary to Whitby Abbey ruins and out to see. The hotel is undergoing a significant face lift and refit but its current public rooms are very good. Outstanding breakfast options available. Well worth the £100 or so for B&B nb lift currently ..."

Whitby was a charming town. It was one of our favorite places. We got up before sunrise one morning and walk up to the Abby. Even though it was not open yet. We walked around the outer walls and watched the sun come up over the water.

Whitby is a must see destination and we visit every year around Sept/Oct. We have stayed in several B&B's and Hotels and the best was No 7 on The Crescent. We will not stay at The White Horse and Griffin again.
