Lovely room, comfortable bed with all facilities needed. Really nice cooked breakfast with many options. Very well run by a lovely couple. Convenient for travel, bus stop outside the door for buses to Whitby and surrounding area. Well recommended.

Amazing little B&B near Whitby

The hosts Phillip and Dee could not do enough for us, they were very friendly. The room was lovely and clean and refills of tea, coffee, biscuits etc provided outside the rooms for guests to help themselves to. The breakfasts we had were amazing, plenty of choice and beautifully cooked. There’s a bus to Whitby just near the house and many other places to visit nearby.

Arrived greeted by dee very friendly room lovely huge bathroom, beautifully cooked breakfast 😋. pub 300yds up the hill, a lovely chippy 200yds spar shop next door and 4 miles to whitby seafront what more can you want

The property is really nicely done up and the folk who run it are charming. The local shops (within 50 yards) are superb and we enjoyed getting bread and meat from them for going home! The local pub was an excellent place to dine!

comfy and quite place to stay

Rooms are well prepared and clean, for couples coming from busy city life, this is a cosy and comfy place to stay. The hosts are nice and do make a phone to confirm our arrival time, make sure we are greeted and keys are ready for us. Nice breakfast are included. We have enough privacy and you can feel that the hosts are not disturbing the peace so much.

Location on a busy road with limited parking. Twin was very small and dated. Mattress were uncomfortable both needed replacing. It was very clean and the hosts were friendly. Not a fan of pre ordering breakfast and having to state a time but it was very nice and cooked as requested.

Excellent B&B in an ideal location

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Rowan Tree. Our small en-suite twin room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were excellent and catered for all tastes. Out hosts Dee & Philip could not have been more welcoming. We'll be back!

A lovely place to stay

We had a very pleasant stay at Rowan Tree House with no complaints. Our hosts have lived there for a long time and also know Whitby well so they had a fund of local knowledge to draw on when we asked questions about the area.

Super night away.

Super night away. Dee made us very welcome and the breakfast was superb. The double room was small but had everything we needed. The ensuite shower was great and very modern. The bed was on the firm side, but that suited us fine. Generally very happy with our night away.

Great little B&B nice cosy bedroom all essentials included comfy bed,lovely breakfast pre ordered on arrival well cooked fry up on site car parking definitely go again only 5 minutes drive from Whitby.

Overpriced for the facilities. The owners were over bearing and rude. Very unnecessary to accuse a paying guest of stealing the key when it was plainly their own fault.
