"Lovely old seaside hotel, mostly very nice, huge double room but in need of an update, especially the bathroom, all very clean and tidy but a bit dated. Breakfast buffet all very good, nice selection and freshly cooked. Staff all very helpful and efficient. These hotels are the very essence of the English seaside, but, cost a fortune to upkeep, and now they have to try and compete with the likes of airb&b! I love these old places and hope that they can continue offering good accommodation with style for many years to come."

"On the whole our stay was a very pleasant experience. Our room was light airy and cool in the heatwave. The beds clean and comfortable. Decent shower/ bath. Not sure if the small towel in the bathroom was a hand towel or bathmat. The only disappointment was the very basic breakfast, just flake or some round cereal. No muesli, yoghurt, and NO fruit. Bananas are the cheapest fruit going. The cooked breakfast, made to order was good . Nice to have use of the large garden. Few minutes walk to the sea with pasing buses to take you back up the hill "

"This was an excellent property. Exactly what was advert and we had an amazing time. The place was in a brilliant location, was comfortable and well-resourced and value for money. I loved the quirky mix of history and modern confort. Would definitely stay again."

"We only stayed for the one night but we will definitely be returning. The owner/staff are lovely, the room and amenities were superb and the breakfast is the best we’ve ever had, cooked perfectly and it just tasted lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough. Hastings Old Town is a great little place too."

"What a wonderful place to stay in Hastings. Our stay was during one of the hottest weeks of the year but the host left electric fans to keep us cool, which was perfect and it was a short walk to the beach so always the chance to cool down in the sea too. Also stated that I was gluten free upon booking and were left a lovely hamper that included gluten free snacks. Lovely touches to an already beautiful apartment."
