"This was a dream come true. When we drove up we were transported to an earlier time in history. We were looking for the complete French country experience with all the comforts of a modern hotel. "We liked the Holiday Inn Express Caen/Epron. It was new, very clean and the staff was exceptionally helpful. The only drawback is there isn’t anything within walking distance. It’s kind of in a business area so you can’t walk to a cafe or even a grocery store. We had a car and were comfortable driving everywhere so it wasn’t a problem but it could be if you’re expecting it to be in an area that is walkable. "

"Very helpful staff. Close to everything and especially restaurants like Monsieur Louis on Pl. Saint-Sauveur. Only small complaint would be how tight the bathroom was. A tall person would have trouble sitting on the toilet in the room I had on the 4th floor. But nice view from the balcony."
