Only negative is the shabbiness of the bathroom and a few pieces of furniture. The bathrooms are greatly in need of an upgrade. "

"Cozy, clean and well kept cottage. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. The garden is beautiful and a great place to meditate or drink your morning coffee. Fantastic location close to the beach and everything Carmel has to offer. The host reached out promptly to check on us when we arrived. We only had a minor issue with a smoke detector false alarm and the property manager showed up within minutes to address it. He was very friendly and thorough. We would definitely stay again at this property. "

"Nice, very historic hotel. No A/C which normally isn’t a problem in Carmel. It was extremely hot which is very odd especially for this time of year."

"The first night Carmel was having a heat wave and the room was extremely hot. No AC in the room and only one of the wondows open. I know this is a rare situation but it would have been nice if they had fans in the rooms for days like this. Wouldn't be much of a cost for the Inn and definitely would hve made.the night more bearable. Weather was normal after that and we had a wonderful trip. I usually stay at the Normandy Inn when my wife and I visit Carmel which is a few times a year."
