A beautiful barn sleeping 10 guests

Welcome to a barn with a difference. Hailstone Barn has been refurbished in a homely and contemporary style, with one, long living space which flows naturally from the kitchen to the dining and sitting rooms beyond. Large windows and french doors flood the whole space with light. There are beautiful details throughout, including spiral staircases, quirky posters and lots of cushions to collapse into.

Your only problem will be choosing where to relax. In front of the wood burning stove in the open-plan sitting room; or perched next to the Aga in the well-equipped kitchen? If you want to chill out in style, head for the entertainment room with its large, wall-mounted television and opulent corner bar. If you prefer a bit of tranquillity, you'll also find a snug with books lining the walls; and a sun room with cantilevered doors opening right out onto the patio.

During the warmer months, enjoy the outdoor amenities; the beautiful garden, professionally landscaped by James Alexander Sinclair and featured in Country Life Magazine 2020, with a large dining table and rattan chairs, and even hammocks for the truly decadent. The wildflower garden with extensive views of woodland and the rolling countryside has also featured in both The English Garden magazine 2021, Gardens Illustrated 2021, 2022 and the published book 'Wild: The Naturalistic Garden'. When you're feeling energetic, make the most of the hard surface tennis court - don't forget to bring your racquets and balls.

Hailstone Barn is situated in the south Cotswolds in a completely rural setting. The town of Tetbury is on your doorstep, famous for its antique shops – you could spend a pleasant few hours here trying to root out a bargain. Cotswold Water Park is around a 20 minute drive away with endless activities and walks to be enjoyed.

This property is also available to book outside of peak season as Hailstone Barn (6 Guests) sleeping six guests in three en-suite bedrooms. Please note the entertainment room is unavailable to guests with the six guest booking option.

Additional Information:
Up to two well-behaved dogs welcome (additional charge).
By kind permission of the owner, you will have access to walk your dogs around the beautiful, private farmland, however, due to close proximity of livestock and wildlife dogs must be kept on a lead. Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture and restrict large dogs to the boot room to sleep at night. The owners will consider accepting more than two dogs. Please speak to a Bookings Advisor for more information.
Children and infants welcome, Travel cot, two highchairs and five stair gates available on request (please provide your own cot linen).
Access to extensive grounds which are shared with neighbouring private properties.
Large entertainment room with bar area.
Gigaclear full fibre broadband service available throughout the property.
Tennis court with tarmac surface (available during Spring/Summer/Autumn, fine weather permitting) is shared with neighbouring private properties. Please bring your own tennis racquets and balls if you wish to use the tennis court.
Courtyard wild flower garden and deck. Shared access to the orchard. Available during Spring/Summer/Autumn, fine weather permitting.
Hammocks, fire pit, gas barbecue. Available during Spring/Summer/Autumn, fine weather permitting.
The outdoor amenities are available during Spring/Summer/Autumn, fine weather permitting and may not be usable during poor weather in early Spring or late Autumn.
Please be aware that there are steps leading to the parking area. If required, there is level access to drop off before returning your vehicle to the parking area.

Birthday get together

Our first impressions arriving through a building site was a bit of a shock and totally misled us as to how lovely the property actually is . With 9 of us including 4 lively children aged 2 - 11 , and one of us recovering post op , the amount of space for us all to be together or do our own thing was perfect . Gorgeous decor - loved all the art / books/ building character . Highlight is the garden , so beautiful, with lots of different spaces - very inspiring and relaxing to be amongst . Lovely fresh bedding and towels . We didn’t roam far as we enjoyed the house so much . The tennis courts also provided us with lots of fun . We all loved it .
