I was there specifically for birding, and a short drive trook my guide and me to the best hotspots for finding endemic very special Costa Rica species. Great beaches and chocolate tours nearby too. "Lovely property. Full of trails in its reserve. Went to the shore - 20 minutes through the woods - to the most magnificent and wild shore. Like heaven! Also went to the natural pool and waterfall - beautiful and cool! The garden, the ocean view from every spot, and the natural and simple wooden rooms - all was a great scene for nature. Dishes of the hotel restaurant (lunch/dinner), not cheap but very tasty. The only thing we missed is an umbrella (which was a must in any other hotel this time of year) for all very wet evenings that we got wet until got to the car..."
