"Hotel was a really nice traditional hotel. Breakfast fantastic. Had some issues which put a dampener on the stay but that was more to do with hotels.com rather than the hotel. Wasn’t blown away by the food for dinner but was adequate for my needs. "

"A lovely little cottage ideal for our family size with our dog. Beautifully decorated and presented inside and out. I wasn’t aware before it’s on a busy road (maybe my oversight tho) but with a lovely pub who serve fab food it’s in the perfect location. We had a very wet weekend but having a walk in kitchen to take boots etc off and dry the dog was great. We didn’t use the front door as even with the key left in we couldn’t unlock it, not sure why but may need checking out! The only thing I need to say is the stairs are very steep (but lovely) and the bend was tight to get cases up. For me, going down was worse then going up and the hand rails where needed both ways. I would recommend to friends and family. Thank you"

"Hill View House is a lovely comfortable property a good lay out to make it a very good social House to spend time with family and friends. All the bedrooms are a generous size and the beds and bedding are of a good quality. The only slight negative was the kitchen although quite well equipped some of the pots and pans could do with replacing also a number of the dinner service were chipped and could also do with being replaced also all the cupboards and draws were so untidy that you had to hunt for things (I know that sounds really fussy but it just makes cooking easier if you can put your hands on things easier)"

"Alistair and Patricia were fantastic hosts. They sent wonderful notes ahead of our stay, called us to check in and prepared the barn by setting the table, welcome drinks, stocking the fridge with essentials and leaving treats for us in the bedrooms. They made great efforts to make it work for all 3 generations, providing a football for the boys and showing them the local park and signposting us to all sorts of interesting places. Big thanks "
