"We were given an upgrade to larger room which was ok..but lots of stairs , as third floor and both over 60 lol but appreciated the extra space . Hotel was in good place for visting other places. The meal we had in the restaurant was yummy , i had the fish and chips and hubby had the burger. But breakfast not so good, bacon was hard as was streaky and it was a mix for scrambled egg which was not very nice , tin mushrooms and tomatoes needed cooking longer and sausage and hash brown was ok and beans .Fruit salad was basic was melon and apple maybe 5 grapes sliced in half in it . After restauant being so good was shocked with breakfast feeling so cheap. You also had bread for toast and spreads and yogs and cereal and usuall drinks."

"We had a fantastic stay at Stockmans Cottage. We really appreciated the milk, bread, eggs and biscuits that had been left for us, this was such a nice touch. The cottage is really spacious and has everything you need. It’s an ideal base for visiting the surrounding villages and towns, however, if you just want to chill out, then there is the farm shop and cafe/restaurant on site, along with some lovely walks. We especially loved the fact that Stockmans Cottage is on a working farm - it was great to see and hear the livestock each day."

"Grade II listed so expected some basic features. Biggest issue I had was poor internet. Grounds lovely and access to great walking from village."

"It's our second visit to Pool Meadow Cottage. Tom allowed us a slightly earlier arrival, which was very helpful. The cottage is in a quiet country farm setting, just a few minutes' drive from Shipston. You have everything for a self contained stay. (Just BYO toiletries). It's a private, roomy, older cottage with a nice bathroom and comfortable beds. The living area is spacious and has lots of information pamphlets. Kitchen has an oven and microwave - always handy. The washing machine is a great inclusion. Heating works well, too. Most Cotswolds villages are within a 40 minute drive, and there's also lots of quiet country walks you can do.It's a great spot to base yourself in. Would be happy to return. Thanks, Tom!"

"My hubby and I enjoyed an overnight stay at The George, on a Saturday night in late September. It's a very picturesque pub in a lovely area. No issue with parking as there is a large carpark and there's a fab beer garden too. On arrival, we were given a very warm welcome and shown to our bedroom. The bedroom was very quaint, spotlessly clean and had all the lovely touches (toiletries, great quality tea/coffee and a complimentary local ale) that you hope will be provided in premium accommodation. We had booked a table in the restaurant for an evening meal. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and it felt like nothing was too much trouble for them. The meal was delicious. Our compliments to the chef! In the morning, we had a full English breakfast which was also 10/10. There were cereals, Danish pastries and yogurts etc. Again, all the staff were very pleasant and engaging. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and have no hesitation in recommending - the whole experience was a delight!"

"We enjoyed a fabulous long weekend at Lower Farmhouse and Stockmans Cottage. The weather was kind to us and we visited a couple of National Trust properties and Sezincote. We also managed some local retail therapy! Had a fabulous dinner at the Bower House, Shipston on Stour and at Herd, the on-site restaurant."
