The Maids Head Hotel

"Lovely spacious bedroom though lots of stairs to get to it as no lift. The room was a bit noisy from traffic outside but didn’t disrupt my sleep. Heating controlled centrally by reception was cold when I first went in and I asked for it to be turned up which the receptionist had forgotten to do so had to ring back later. This isnt ideal and wouldnt want to stay in winter. Staff in restaurant in the evening and at breakfast were a little inattentive. Waited 20 mins for someone to take my food order in the end went to the bar to order it myself, the same happened at breakfast when ordering from the menu. However the food was excellent."

"Very nice spotlessly clean hotel in a nice area of Norwich, the rooms are small or the one we were in was but I’d definitely stay here again."
Best Western Annesley House Hotel

"The room was clean though a little tight for space. The ensuite was also a little tight to move around in and the shower tray had a hair line crack through it though that did not affect the using of it. Plus side staff very friendly, room was clean and the evening meal was very nice."

"Staff were all very friendly. The whole hotel seemed very clean and out room was spotles. Had all amenities for tea/coffee, working tv and extra pillows."

"All round excellent! Room lovely and clean, bed comfy, nicely decorated and very peaceful. Our breakfast was delicious and we were very well looked after by their amazing team of staff. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning again soon!"

St Giles House Hotel

"Enjoyed our brief stay at St Giles House. We were only in our room to sleep (straight after seeing ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ at Norwich Theatre) and had breakfast first thing in the morning, so we didn’t spend very much time at the hotel. Our one and only issue is the curtains in our room; they are so thin, the street light outside, which was on throughout the night, made it feel like it was still daylight. Suffice it to say, neither of us slept well. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and is clean throughout, though."

"The bathroom was clean but a little dated , staff were so nice and very friendly, breakfast was fine but I would not recommend the vegetarian sausages. Parking was plentiful until an event is held. The carvery is very good and very popular, with a reasonable price tag. The dining areas are good with some nice waterside views both inside and out, as the hotel is on the waterfront. ."
