"First and foremost, anyone visiting the Boardwalk and want to stay as close to the Boardwalk as possible can't expect any if these older hotels to be fancy. There are like two fancy-ish ones and they are like triple the cost. With that in mind...you get what you pay for. Our room was good considering we really only came to the room to change, shower and sleep. We really were outside tge whole stay. The room was basic but had the necessities. We had a couple towels that I couldn't tell if they were dirty or clean so we just asked for more. They had no problem giving as many as we needed. Parking gets real after the sun sets so I suggest get your spot early and walk to the Boardwalk. The room we had, was a king in the main room and a full...or a queen in the second room of our room. ( yes there was a whole bedroom aside from the living room.) The only problem was the bedroom didn't have ac so we just slept in the main room."

"The hotel is described as family friendly on hotels.com. It says they provide cribs/pack n play (for a sur charge) This is a blatant lie from management. They literally don’t have any cribs/packNplays and no one to help set them up. Why advertise it then!! I had to go to target n buy a pack n play for my kid on the Long weekend vacation. We found out at checkin time !! Once again, why advertise it !! Ruining ppl’s vacation plans. It’s not even a cheap place, 500+ per night"

"I really appreciate the reception staff honoring my request for a quiet room as the property faces a busy street. Being on the last room on the 2nd floor really made the difference! So kudos to the Seaside Inn! It also has done a nice job of renovating its rooms, and has very nice touches like hangers that actually detach, built-in hair dryers, and most impressive of all, a color selectable defogging mirror! We will certainly return to this property when we come into Santa Cruz!"
