"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

"I can honestly say everything was perfect with the room, it was beautiful, clean, all the amenities you needed was there, front of house was well mannered and polite when we arrived. I had requested for room to be decorated alittle special as it was our anniversary, and my request was granted so if you do want to stay somewhere and make it special always ask they are happy to help. "Really didn't enjoy our stay. The room was dirty especially around the windows and in poor state of repair with multiple chips in the basin. We had to climb a very old spiral staircase to get to the room which would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. Finally we were given a choice of breakfast either at 7.15 am or 10.15 and nothing was available in between."

"Nice spacious and very clean room. Well facilitated with a tea tray and bottles of water. Room was immensely hot but thankfully able to open all the windows. Liked fresh cooked breakfast (as opposed to usual buffets) however I would love to see a better drinkable coffee being served and a little gripe - after requesting hard poached egg with no ‘snot’ my egg was totally snotty when I cut it and ran into my breakfast so didn’t eat much. "Property clean and convenient to Seaham. Two short flights of stairs to rooms with 3 sets of doors to go through. No lift and no help to get luggage to room. Registration at bar and staff was busy with patrons so check in and out took time. Parking on site. Security good. "

"This is an affordable hotel for a family short stay, clean, appears to be recently refurbished, located in a muslim neighbourhood near a mosque not far from the city centre. Friendly staff. It doesn't have a parking place but they gave us a spot to leave our car overnight. It is good in general if you are looking for a cheap family room for a night or two."
