"The hotel has not been updated since the 70's. The rooms were clean, so was the linens but need new pillows and sheets are needed. For a reasonable price in a high cost town it works as long as you are not expecting the Hilton. Ask for a room on the creek side as they are quiet and there are places to set and enjoy the creek."

"Well...it IS a very old, historic hotel which is what makes it fun and enjoyable. However, you can tell that they have not been able to invest any money into this gem in a long time. The room was super outdated and needed lots of TLC but it was clean and the bed was super comfy. The lights worked. The gas fireplace worked. The A/C worked. The main thoroughfares look pretty nice and well maintained but once you get off the beaten path the place is in shambles. Super nice staff!! Too bad they don't make enough to keep it up to standard! Price is high for what you get."
