"Purdy lodge is an older property but is well maintained and kept clean and fresh. Don't let the main road put you off, we didn’t hear any road noise as the rooms are facing the beautiful scenery at the back. Look out for the wonderful wild hares, bouncing around the fields. A joy to see. The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful and the breakfast and evening meal were top notch. We will stay here again next time we’re in the area."

The price was very reasonable and the fact that dogs stay free was a great bonus. Best of all were the staff, friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay here again. Parking may be an issue but we managed to find on a free on street space each day. "
