"Handy location and helpful staff. Only a few minutes walk into town and had parking (for a fee). Booked a deluxe double, but unsure what made it any different to a standard room. Was basic with a view of a small building's roof. Large brown stain on the duvet which we told reception about, who came to inspect. Was provided with a new duvet cover that we had to fit ourselves. Reception and entrace were lovely so expected a little more from the room itself, but did the job for one night which is all we needed. Comfy bed."

"There are shops nearby, however being budget no tea or coffee for room. I paid 71 for one night with only vending machine hot drinks. The remote control and heating didn't work, but no phone to reception you have to travel down "

"Cold room, no heating and given a small oil heater in the room, old dated interior and generally outdated.. Wouldn’t stay here again"

"The worst 4 star hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was okay but the lift wasn’t working. The shower in the morning was lukewarm even when running for over 5 minutes. The tv didn’t properly work as couldn’t view the guide! Avoid!"

"Our hotel stay was lovely staff very friendly and helpful, our room was on the 4th floor very quiet family room, beds very comfortable & pillows lovely sheets room clean good choice on teas coffees & hot chocolate with biscuits and mint chocolate coins. The TV channel choice was really good. Great location 5 mins walk to New street train station also close to getting the tram and close to the library and Symphony hall, and Victoria Square, we went to visit Black Sabbath bench to pay our respects to Ozzy Osbourne. "

"Clean comfortable rooms and good location within 5 minute walk of grand central. Only knocking a point off due to thin walls between rooms making noise a bit of an issue. Otherwise a pleasant stay "
