"Room was clean, towels were not changed daily and tea/coffee facilities were not replenished every day, luckily I had taken my own. Staff very friendly, breakfast was good with lots to choose from. Pool area was good main pool was bright but a bit dark and dangerous in areas, the hot tub was not very clean or clear you could not see the steps to get in, needs lighting to see where you are going, health a safety hazard. Nice to have a bar on the poolside, and it stayed open till late. Lots of people in the on-site pub in bathrobes eating and drinking as you had to go through pub to get to the pool. Good in the pub had a good variety to choose from reasonable priced. All in all it was a nice hotel and a pleasant stay, but the pool area definitely needs to a bit brighter to see where you are going."

"Enjoyed a great 3 night stay at the Hideaway. This is a true Bed & Breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and our private bath had been nicely modernized with helpful shelves and racks. The breakfasts were prepared to order from a balanced menu. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Due to the rain we did not get to enjoy the outside sitting area but it looked inviting. The bedroom itself was a bit tight, but we had small roller bags so we were able to situate everything - would have been more challenging if we had larger suitcases. The location was a 5 - 10 minute walk from the train / bus station and a short walk to shops and restaurants. We would recommend the Hideaway."

"The host was excellent throughout the process and was very hands on and helpful. The house was exactly as described on vbro. We particularly enjoyed the spaciousness of the house and its layout. We arrived as a party of nine adults and 4 grandchildren. The cinema downstairs was a great attraction for the grand kids who seemed to enjoy being at the movies. The rooms were a good size and well equipped. . It’s situated conveniently for booths the supermarket and a little further on the lovely town of Windermere. There were two kitchens and equipped to a very high standard. Particularly to note was the dinning room and had 14 places. The jacuzzi out back was excellent and also a large bench and parasol for al fresco. All in all excellent accommodation with a host who really cared to ensure you had an excellent time. There was parking for 6 cars out front well labelled.We had an excellent time celebrating my wife’s birthday. Ultimate test is would we go back again and the answer is Yes. Good location , great accommodation, great parking, spacious accommodation quality throughout and a great host.,"
