"The property is tired. Some of the staff worked hard. Some were obviously inexperienced. But the big problem was there were not enough capable staff. Long waiting times for food. Ordering systems that failed. Simple things like getting your own coffee at breakfast did not work. Altogether a lack of energy and commitment to getting things right was missing. No obvious management. Fabulous views, great weather. Frustrating hotel. We stayed one night. Could not imagine staying longer. What a lost...

"We had a lovely spacious room with a comfortable bed, a bonus was the beautiful views of the river through the wide full height windows. Only downside was the lack of a cooked breakfast which is not available. There isn’t a table in the room so we had to sit on the single chair and blanket box to eat the cereals provided, not ideal when you want to fortify yourself for the SWCP walk. They also didn’t service the room which meant we had to wash the cereal bowls and cups in the bathroom sink...

"Lovely location, parking at the hotel is limited. We stayed for four nights, Breakfast was a disappointment, on three occasions the eggs were over cooked, fresh fruit was a slice of Mellon, no bread/ roles. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was located a the rear of the hotel looking over a covered area for pub and hotel guests use. with the windows open the noise from this area was disturbing. But overall we enjoyed our stay."

The room and hotel were very nice and well kept, but the restaurant area was incredibly cold, the windows in the conservatory area leaked air around the edges and the air con wasn’t running any heating when we were in there eating so hurried through and returned to room. "A wonderful apartment in a wonderful location. Great for early morning walks to the beach, and if you want to explore, most things are a short driving distance for hikes and other breathtaking nearby beaches. If you plan on being in this part of Cornwall, you should definitely book this home. Geoff & Jan are wonderful hosts."

"Staff were lovely but the property needs a lot of TLC. The bathroom is tiny but well equipped. Good location for st Michael's Mount but not much else nearby. Bonus was, they offered breakfast included but we weren't hungry enough for a full English breakfast 😟"

"Overall our room is excellent with the harbor view from the room window. A minor point, the water vessel in the Nespresso Coffee machine was leaking. It will be nice for the staff to check before guests arrival, we didn't use it in the end but reported it. It is a shame but I can always get a good coffee from the cafe near by."
