"The restaurant that is highly lauded in some reviews did not exist. Once there, the owner’s son tells me that they close the restaurant during the slow season….which was NOT disclosed when I booked. It’s in a very secluded area but a drive to restaurants about 15 mins away. There’s a restaurant next door, but the opening time depends on their mood, one day was 10am and next day was 11am. "first and foremost ignore all the critical and downright fictious comments others have made. I have been coming to Phuket for over 30 years and this is just about the first hotel I have stayed in I have almost no reason to complain about at all. my room was perfect, large and airy, clean as a whistle, surrounded by ancient rain forest, when i told her the cold tap in the bathroom was a bit stiff for my old fingers, she was on her mobile and engineers were there in minutes and fixed it . I am particularly fond of cats and the resident cat there was lovely, clean and attentive and guarded me from any sort of intruders, the whole stay was a joy and i shall return. the only thing that was a shame, breakfast! everything pre cooked was cold, bacon coked the day before it seemed, rice porridge was passable but only warm, such a pity because within a stones throw the were places with excellent breakfast at half the price . but apart from the b,fast, this was a joy to stay at. 9.9 out of 10 ."

"The good: Amazing staff! Especially restaurant staff. Clean room. Wonderful pool. Good, clean fitness room. Excellent food, including the extensive breakfast. The not so good: Noisy grounds and rooms. Crappy beach area. Workers doing maintenance work most of the day means little privacy and quiet for rooms facing the pool areas. Summary: great for families, not so great if you want peace and quiet!"
