"Excellent for solo traveler or 2 people. Nice, clean studio with a parking space. Comfortable bed and a nice closet. Use the ceiling fan to draw down the cool air from the ac. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, food trucks and shopping. Also close access to downtown and Mamalahoa highway. Host replies quickly, is friendly and easy to talk with. I would definitely return for another stay."

The coqui frogs serenaded us in the night time rains. There were many appliances and tech features. Any questions were answered immediately. This was a perfect place to relax with serenity after a long day sightseeing."

"The house was a good size and at a decent location not far from downtown Hilo and on the way to Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park. The house is a bit on the older side. Although it doesn’t have AC, we didn’t need it in early September as there are fans in every room and it cooled down at night. There is an invasive frog on Hawaii and it croaks really loudly at night so I recommend taking ear plugs or ear buds to wear. The property manager was very responsive whenever I contacted him."

"We loved our stay! The place was comfy, clean and airy, just as in the photos. It was nice to have a well equipped kitchen to save on eating out. All in all a delightful home away from home. Location is perfect, an easy walk to downtown and short drive to swimming beaches. We hope to stay here again on our next visit to the Big Island!"

"This was an amazing house, with about 4-5 rooms all to ourselves. There was full kitchen and cooking facilities, and some snacks and cooking materials (milk, sauces, etc) had been left for us to use. Each room was an Aladdin's cave of souvenirs and oddities, attached to the wall or ceiling. There was an amazing little garden, with a pond, which had some very noisy frogs in it. There was veranda and porch, so we could sit outside and have a drink. It was like living in a hobbit house or something out of a fairy tale, and made the experience truly magical. Shops were a 20min walk or 5min drive away, but once shopping was done there was a huge fridge to store it all in. All mod cons were there, TV, aircon (in the bedroom), shower, wifi, etc. There was even a cheap laundry service with 24h return. It also had a free covered off-road parking space. If you want somewhere to stay that is truly memorable, stay here. It beats a boring hotel any day!"
