"The staff were so nice, with so much aloha! We have never met nicer staff. But the property is definitely older, and apparently scheduled to be torn down, something to do with the land lease not being renewed & plans for a marina in this location. Our room on 1st floor was spotlessly clean, with many nice little touches by caring staff, pretty folded towels, and our room included a small fridge with a freezer. The room is older — painted cement blocks — think college dorm room. The sliding glass door on first floor to our lanai did not lock or even latch. And — there was no AC. There was a ceiling fan, & a nice big room fan. But no window except the sliding glass door, which we kept shut all night, & put things in front of, for security, with many homeless in the nearby park. It was hot & humid & miserable all night. I think if we could have had an open window, it might have helped. If you know what you are getting — painted cement block walls like a college dorm room, & no AC, only fans, & no way to leave a window open on first floor, & no elevator & no ramp even to wheel up luggage — but absolutely wonderful staff & spotlessly clean — including a tiny kitchenette — you can make a better decision. Perhaps 2nd floor rooms would be better. It wasn’t for us. But Aloha, to the wonderful staff … "

"Don't be deceived by the exterior of the building. Once you enter the front door with the provided code it's very nice and inviting. Our room was clean and comfortable. Nicely furnished. Compact but all our needs were supplied. Good coffee. Nice thick towels. Good air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Convenient location downtown Hilo. Neighborhood felt a little iffy with a few homeless people outside. Parking lot in the rear was not paved. Should we return to Hilo again we would stay there and recommend it to our friends. "

"Very comfortable beds, A/C in bedrooms worked well. Could use a light right above the front door. It was difficult to see the key pad after dark. Enjoyed our 7 days at Paddlerʻs Inn. "

"We loved our stay! From booking this property… communication with host, and arriving at the home for our Merrie Monarch week. It was AWESOME!!! We are looking forward to next year and have already booked this same property. Everything was as expected with the description on site. We were beyond comfortable and felt at home. "It's a little old apartment that's been cleverly well-appointed for guests, with several huge mirrors adding to a sense of spaciousness. The kitchen is small but has everything you need to cook a simple meal: a one-burner hotplate, a microwave, some kind of big toaster oven, a blender, utensils, big fridge and freezer.... With the Hilo farmer's market, the KTA supermarket and a natural food store all a one-minute walk away, we were inspired to do some cooking even though there are so many good restaurants within easy walking distance too. Everything worked. The host was very responsive. This was our second stay here and we hope to return to this, our Hilo home!"

"This was a lovely space, just as advertised, great proximity to downtown. Very clean, great decor, nice amenities. Exactly what we were looking for. Especially big kudos to the owners for prompt, responsive communication, that was SO appreciated. Highly recommend this spot for your Hilo stays!"
