"Room was excellent and very well maintained. Housekeeping staff were very helpful and punctual. The restaurant was excellent but was surprised to find out the breakfast coupons were for $10 off, not complimentary breakfast. All in all I would stay there again."

"I was assigned to building 1 but the directions took me to building 8. It took me about 45 minutes to find building 1 with help eventually from friendly neighbors. Building 1 didn't have the number 1 on the building where you could see driving through the parking lot. When I did finally get into the room it was a pleasant stay and I did have a good night sleep. it was fun drinking tea on the little patio and watching the ducks on the pond. THANK YOU Onna"

"Our host was the best part of this house! Super kind friendly and helpful!! He introduced himself and he felt like one of our family members. House was very charming and perfect for our family. We were in Hilo for a wedding and house was close to everything. Spent the day at volcano which was 40 minutes from town. House was stocked with staples in the kitchen like spices butter foil. I really recommend this place. Thanks Rail!!!"

"The house is decorated very cute and was loaded with thoughtful details to have everything you need to enjoy your stay. The snorkle gear needed to be cleaned, but there were towels, first aid kits, sewing kit, even bug spray and sunscreen! The kitchen had everything we needed, since we cooked most of our meals there and the grill worked well and was clean. The bedrooms have a wall unit air conditioner, but two of them automatically turned off after a short time, so it was tough to stay comfortable, especially over night, when you aren't able to go over and press the button to restart them. (Possibly user error?) The living room, kitchen and bathroom have no AC. Although we wanted to sit together to eat or watch TV for a few hours, it was so hot that everyone ended up sitting on their beds near the AC units. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. If you are using this as base camp to sleep and not spending time in the house, it works well. It isn't a comfortable place to hang out in if you aren't used to the high temps with extremely high humidity. The driveway is extremely steep, but there is also street parking if you are afraid to drive down. The host was responsive and helpful - great communication!"

"It was just right for us. Convenient close to everything.Did have some challenges with the water diverter for the shower as well as the water pressure fading in and out.The lights and fan kept dimming or turning off and back on. We advised our host and said they would have it checked.My family member had bad knees and had a little bit of a challenge going up and down the stairs, but the unit was cozy."
