"The food was fabulous and a great surprise. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have given it 5 stars but there was a distinct smell of fish on entering the hallway and the bar was only open when the evening meal service started. There was no chance for a drink when you came back from a long walk. Maybe it was because the hotel was not fully booked."

"Great location. Truly accommodating staff. Would stay again!"

"We stayed for two nights for a wedding in the area and couldn't have picked a better place. Nestled in a lovely, peaceful part of Devon, the B&B was very comfortable. What truly stood out was the hospitality: our hosts were amazingly friendly and full of engaging stories and helpful local insights. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious both mornings. An ideal pied-à-terre for a Devon getaway—thank you so much!"

"One of the best properties we’ve stayed in! We had a great time - the rooms are stunning, there is so much to do around the property and yet, it was peaceful and intimate at the same time. Highly recommend having all your meals there - the food and staff were a big highlight of our stay. We will definitely be back!"

"Amazing place. We enjoyed our stay and the place is very pet-friendly. The hosts are all approachable and nice."

"The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat...

"Quaint room and wonderful breakfast..lovely Landlord & Landlady"

"We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our room, which was spacious, clean, warm and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality pillows. The shower room was large, clean and modern. It was so reasonably priced, we expected a lot less!"

"Excellent location- bathroom was a bit tired vs other modern hotels"

"A perfect place for exploring Plymouth. Very friendly service, clean rooms."

"The rooms were large and clean. The staff were very friendly and so happy to help with any questions or help needed!!"

"There was a wedding party which I was advised before I arrived. The hotel called me to confirm this which I was happy with. They brought the evening meals to the room which was very enjoyable. I have no issues with this whatsoever. They kept me informed. "

"Lovely people. Very friendly. It’s not the Ritz but you do get what you pay for, and as such, it’s excellent. We had a lovely time."
