"This was our first experience in a Japanese hotel. We’ve never traveled to Japan, but this was the next best thing. The entire hotel was decorated and designed to Japanese standards. The gift shop sells authentic kimonos, Sake, teas, fans, shoes etc. There are lanterns outside every other room, gently lighting the hallways. Hospitality was outstanding. We were always greeted with smiles and pleasant conversations. The calming atmosphere at registration was exactly what we needed after a very long day of travel. One thing to note about the room, there are no drawers to use for your clothing or other items. A very small hanging area with a few shelves was it. It worked for us but just a surprise. Beds were extremely comfortable. The huge soaking tub and walking shower were very luxurious. (They even sell bath bombs in the gift shop!!) We would definitely stay at CedarTree in Hillsboro OR again."

"Outstanding property! Very clean, perfect location, very friendly staff and the restaurant had amazingly delicious options! My absolute favorite part of my stay was the night cap time at the bar and not even for the drinks! Our bartender Chuck was one of the friendliest, most welcoming and knowledgeable people I met while in Portland! He truly put the icing on the cake for the stay."

"I like that the room was clean, front desk was helpful and the facilities were very taken care of. It’s in a great area, right by the waterfront park. It was great that it had a full kitchen. Although we really didn’t utilize it, next time we visit we will for sure take advantage of having a full kitchen."

"Hotel was great. Located close to i5. Lots of amenities. Very clean. Unfortunately hot tub was cold which we only found out when we tried to go into it. Even reception was ok - 1 free drink or 1 pop per person and soup with bread. Breakfast was ok - standard hotel breaky with hot and cold options. No longer have an omelette bar and no made to order omelettes. Great stay. Would recommend and would stay again!"

"Came to Portland for a concert at Pioneer Square and this was the perfect stay. Great location with a super cute, eccentric room that was clean and had everything I needed. Also loved that my car was safely parked in a garage. Definitely recommend this hotel."

"We were in town for a wedding. Very happy with not just the convenient location to everything, but the staff is amazing… from Valet to rooftop bar, every single staff member was friendly and helpful. The Bloody Mary from Urban Farmer was one of the best I ever had. As was the “shrimp toast” in rooftop Departure restaurant and bar. We highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Portland close to everything. Valet team/service made our stay 5-star. Without their hard work (crowd control, car retrieval, opening doors, loading bags, directing rides, travel tips, I can go on and on) this would be 4 star."
