"It’s been 10 years since our last stay, as good as ever. Friendly staff, beautiful room, quiet, lovely bar & tasty plentiful breakfast. Everything you could wish for & on top of that a bottle of Prosecco & chocolate in our room for our anniversary. Perfect stay"

Nothing was done all night . We and other guests tried to get someone in room to respond by banging loudly at 4am. We assumed either dead or heavily intoxicated . "Really lovely stay at the Angus. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Staff are all friendly, and attentive. Spa was quite basic (pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi) but still lovely to be able to go for a swim. However, the area round the pool and spa needs some maintenance as there was plaster broken off walls, missing tiles and the roof has obviously had some kind of issue. The room was roomy and well furnished, the access to the extra communal room where we could sit and make tea and coffee and keep fresh milk and food in a fridge was excellent. Two small things let it down. The reception was across the road in the associated hotel. Once in the hotel the notice said the reception was upstairs but there was no obvious reception desk up there. "An absolute beauty! parking was a bit of an issue, however the room was great, beds were comfy and the restaurant and bar was fabulous with live music. we loved our stay."

"If you have mobility issues, this may not be the hotel for you. Our room 214 was up 3 flights of narrow stairs. Housekeeping needs to do a Thorough cleaning more often. I'm not a fan of seeing cobwebs in the corners of the floors. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is not walkable into town. Everyone we talked to said it was one of the best hotels in town."
