"The signature rooms are very nice - spacious and with a balcony. Love the lounge and the good breakfast at Steak on Six. Sona was good for dinner, with superbly attentive staff, but it was a little overpriced. Our air con didn’t work and the pool changing rooms could do with a freshen up, but otherwise a very pleasant and relaxing stay."

"Nice rooms, easy parking. Have a night porter who was very helpful. Have stayed before and would be happy to stay again."

"I stayed at the Angel hotel for a few days over October half term with my husband and children (7and 10). I have many good things to say about it. Firstly the location is perfect for a city break. It is moments from the castle and city centre which makes a visit to the area so easy. Cardiff has so many attractions it’s perfect for a family break. The staff we met there were all lovely and so helpful - from the friendly receptionist, breakfast staff and housekeeping. We were always treated with...

"Lovely hotel, staff on arrival and in the restaurant were amazing and very focused on the details, food was amazing in the sorting room for the evening. Breakfast had a good selection although a bit disconnected… room was really noisy as it was about a party in one of the function rooms, when I told reception they said well it was Halloween, this is not the response I expected having paid £300 for the night …there was no apology for the noise experienced or any offer made, most disappointing."

"Perfectly situated for attending scooter events"

"Room small unclean and breakfast buffet offering was terrible. The location and price were good but they were the only positives."

"Room was small but very clean. Toiled was too close to the sink. Great location and the staff were great!"

"The receptionist staff could not have been more helpful."

"Short comfortable stay didn’t use the facilities"

"Facilities were above standard, the spa was very good amoung UK standard. However the lady who served us in the reception was very unprofessional. She just helped us to check in only, without telling us where the facilities were, the time of breakfast, the wifi accessibility, the check out time etc. Seems she was not bother to talk to you. Also, the restaurant in the hotel was horrible, no service at all, and the food were overcooked, still charge you a service charge. Quite disappointed on the...

"Amazing and super friendly staff"

"Fabulous hotel in a beautiful setting and grounds. A little on the pricey side but worth it to mark or celebrate a special occasion. A good base from which to go out exploring, or to take in a round of golf right there on the doorstep. Would recommend and indeed return."
