"Had to keep calling for room repairs. Sink stopped up, Tv remote didn’t work, key card not working etc. Mgt seemed irritated to be asked to do repairs."

"We were checked in quickly and the staff was pleasant. We did not see staff at the front desk at any other time. There was a drop box for room keys at the front desk when we departed. Parking at the front of the property was more than sufficient for the cars in the lot. The property had exterior damage that was being repaired as well as construction on the first floor. We stayed in room 211 on the second floor and had a dog with us. The property is definitely showing its age. The sofa...

"This is a very nice, predictable hotel in Galesburg, and since I travel there occasionally to see friends, I’m glad I found it. It’s by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in in Galesburg. Now, don’t confuse it with the Ritz Carleton…it’s basic, but the rooms are impeccably clean, it’s quiet, the staff is helpful, the tv worked, and the bed was comfortable. In Galesburg, that qualifies for a top rating!"

"Our room was clean but the Wi-Fi was terrible, the tv did not work and the entrance light was not working which we were told about. The breakfast was unsatisfactory in many ways and the coffee bad. They appear to be understaffed. I cannot recommend this to anyone"

"The room was freshly redone and clean. Staff were excellent. The outside of the building and entrances to the building will need some maintenance. Good stay overall."

"One of the best rentals we have stayed in. Charming house and very hospitable host. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our three day stay. We enjoyed coffee on the back porch each morning."

"Stayed here for our kiddo’s graduation from Knox College. A beautiful wonderful property with so much history. We enjoyed seeing all the family history. My mother-in-law and I were reminded of visiting our family farms when we were younger. Only thing we didn’t like was the septic system is very old and you can’t flush toilet paper. Other than that it was a beautiful property and a cozy home."

"The facility was well stocked with items we used. The master suite was wonderful. Laundry appliances and soap were available - and we used them. Because we were busy in town most of the weekend, we didn't get to use the hot tub, but it was available and ready for us. The host was very easy to reach whenever we had questions."
