"All staff were lovely and helpful nothing was too much trouble for them. Plenty of choice on the breakfast menu. My only criticism if you want to call it that is that the actual bedrooms & bathrooms are all tired looking. Could do with a revamp and a colour injection. Pool area also could do with sprucing up."

"From the moment we were picked up from the train station by Louie we were made to feel very welcome all the staff friendly and amazing, I had my birthday weekend and we loved it ! "The room was cleaned every day staff were very nice we didn’t have the breakfast we were told that breakfast was very good evening meal was very good also bar meals were good. From the queen hotel to the city centre it only takes about 20mins the city centre is lovely lots to see and to explore"

"I would not recommend this hotel for families. It is more for couples or groups. The location is very good. We stayed here with our 11 year old son after visiting Chester Zoo. The parking is in the Eastgate shopping centre and costs £10 for 24 hours when you scan the QR code at the hotel reception. The room was large but in my opinion needs a refurbishment, as does the full bathroom. The large bed was two beds pushed together which we all slept in as the put up bed looked rather...

"We booked to stay at Rowton hall because we were attending a wedding. The staff were really lovely and very helpful Julie was exceptional as was another lady who helped us with our luggage. Annabelle on reception was also lovely, they really do have lovely staff, wedding bbq was lovely good choice of drinks, not exorbitant prices? Room was really lovely, nice comfortable beds. "The hotel is easy walking distance to the train station and city centre. The hotel is well maintained. The Reception staff were very helpful especially Kurt providing useful information on Chester. "Property wasn’t well maintained. The fridge didn’t work. A light in the bathroom didn’t work even after reporting it to the staff. The window latch was broken. The noise each night from the bar was extremely loud. It did shut down each night by 10pm, making it impossible to relax in the hotel room. There was no warning about this in the hotel description or reviews. There was no laundry service despite this being listed on the Expedia site as an amenity."

On arrival realised there was one but hadn’t packed anything to wear. Hotel location was great and staff generally very helpful, mattress on bed was only major complaint and sagged in the middle so little sleep."
