"We chose the hotel for it's convenient location in the city of Orotina , where we were visiting relatives . The staff was good , perhaps a little inattentive on check out. The reception office was closed and I had to look around for someone to return my key. Be advice there's is a very noisy soccer academy right next door . We were alocated on room 11 , close to the academy . It can be an issue if you are trying to rest early evening ."

"The main bed was small for two adults and the resort itself was a bit run down. The tennis courts and pool were not usable. The kitchen had a good supply of pans, utensils, and kitchen tools. The area itself was super quiet."

"David is an amazing host, and his Villa is outstanding. We felt like we were on a resort, but didn’t have to spike a chair by the pool at 6 am. David went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. My Wife, Sister and Brother-in-Law spent 4 weeks, and the place was perfect for our longer term stay. Property manger looked after the yard, and made sure pool was clean, and BBQ always had propane! Thanks to Justino! We’ll be back David!"

"The house was beautiful- set in peaceful surroundings. The infinity pool overlooking the valley was stunning. All furnishings and appliances were top quality. We are a professional couple who were working remotely for a week and this place suited us perfectly. Visitors should be aware it is a little off the beaten track as are many of the most beautiful properties in Costa Rica but the property managers are knowledgeable and can be helpful in planning activities and excursions."

"As a family of 3 adults, we enjoyed our stay at Roy's guest house. We chose it in part for its more rural setting though it is very close to town. We had hoped to use the large pool and hiking trails at the Adventist camp next door, but it was closed due a large event they were holding. "This isn't a bad resort, but it's definitely not a five-star. It's very dated. They are under construction, so hopefully that will help. They seem to be very well-staffed because there was always lots of employees walking around. The food was average. The room was clean enough but again, just showing its age so there was rust, cracks and fading. The grounds and pool looked nice, but we didn't use them. Check-in was very easy and the staff was friendly and helpful."

"My wife and I loved Clarita’s. The property is prestine and newly remodeled. The downstairs cafe/bar and sushi restaurant were excellent. The ocean views and sunsets were incredible either on the beach or the rooftop deck. It was truly a magical experience. Additionally, the rooms and bathrooms were roomy and super clean and the toilets! Japan style they were honestly a game changer. "This is a beautiful, smaller resort. We only stayed one night, so we didn't make much use of the amenities. Breakfast was good though. The room was clean and very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly with the check-in and allowed us to check-in early even. The location is great for being close to Jaco."
