"Stayed at The Parkgate Hotel over two nights. Hotel is a short five minute walk from Cardiff Central Station and on arrival, check in was effortless with reception staff explaining all the important amenities and services well, was in no doubt where and what was available during our visit.
Breakfast service was first class and we also enjoyed the evening Wellington Experience menu in the Shorting Room Restaurant which definitely lived up to our expectation, from the welcome and seating, champagne cocktails on arrival and the three courses, all first class with no doubt.
My only gripes may be small but would have been a concern for us on a longer stay. Surprisingly no mini fridge in the room, a lack of hooks for hanging within the bathroom space, no luggage rack so our suitcases had to be opened up on the floor and only six hangers in the wardrobe. That said I would certainly book at the Parkgate again if travelling to Cardiff, a true four star experience."
