"Great staff, a family feel type of hotel. They have a restaurant on location which makes meals convenient. Uber does not operate in this town so transportation is a little tricky if you don’t rent a vehicle. Best night sleep in Costa Rica! Plus the views of the Arenal Volcano are unbelievable! "

"Everything about our experience exceeded expectations. The hosts and staff were gracious and communication was great. The facilities were as described--beautiful and magical. Attention to every detail was evident and any possible need of guests was addressed. Breakfast was delicious, made to order, and timely every day. The grounds were peaceful with abundant wildlife. We would have loved to have more time in the area. Would definitely stay again!"

"Birding is spectacular. The grounds and trails are amazing. So many plants and animals. Beautiful views. Rooms are basic but clean. Food at the restaurant for dinner is average but service was consistently great. Breakfast was better. Overall service was excellent."

"Such a cute place tucked away in El Castillo! Beautiful views of Lake Arenal and the property is just absolutely beautiful! The guest house was very clean and well cared for, and they even gave us a welcome basket with some breakfast foods! They have everything you need to have a quiet, relaxing trip and stay in, or you are a half a mile from restaurants, etc.My only disappointment is that it was raining and I didn’t get to hear or see any howler monkeys that apparently are near the property."
