"My wife and I had a pretty uncomfortable experience when, despite there being a “do not disturb” sign on the door, someone from their staff opened the door at 9:45 am on the day we were supposed to leave with an 11:00 am check out time. When we told the front desk and separately wrote an email to them, they apologized but didn’t seem to take in the gravity of how our privacy was violated. I’ve never written a bad review of a hotel prior to this and we have generally really enjoyed staying here...

"The Cherokee Lodge is a lovely, charming little cottage just a few minutes walk to everything fun in Coronado. My daughter and I stayed in room 9 which is very small but plenty of room for the two of us. Our first night was fine aside from the fact the refrigerator in the room did not work but our second was awful. The air conditioning unit kept over heating and blowed hot air. The small room was stifling hot and we woke up at 2:30 sweaty and miserable. Unable to sleep we called the number that...

"I had a smoke detector die in my room and start beeping around 8 at night. I called the front desk, they said maintenance was gone and they didn't know what to do. They first told me to take the battery out. I refused as I was not physically able to climb on the chair and reach the detector. Furthermore, it seems like a poor idea to instruct your guests to remove the batteries from safety equipment. I called again and pressed for an answer. They said there would be someone coming at 11 pm who...

"We had a nice view of the ocean from our balcony. The staff who cleaned were wonderful most staff were very kind and greeted us in yhe halls. The issue we had was the air-conditioning was not working and nothing was done. The room was so humid I could not get my hair or makeup right for the wedding we were there to attend. A staff at the front desk said to open the sliding glass door to let the night cool breeze in the problem is there is no screens and bugs can get in the room and the balcony...

"The room was not up-kept. The whole place is dated. There’s cracks and unsealed areas where bugs get in. Many mosquitos in the room. Ants crawling on the walls and in the beds. Not boutique, more like bare minimum. No staff on site, air conditioning is loud, and parking is 4 spots."

"Extremely busy corner intersection, rush hour traffic all day long. Bring earplugs or sound machine to sleep. Rooms are not well maintained and the outdoor patio was super dirty, I had to use baby wipes to spot clean cushions and table. This area is vital for the guests who get the rooms that are so small only 2 beds fit, you will not see a picture of this room on the website #110. My brother’s family got that room and we got #111 which was much nicer and had considerably more space even though...

"I guess my only comment was that it is very crowded. It’s been over a decade since I stayed at the hotel Del and I was literally shocked at the expanse and how incredibly crowded it was."

"Clean and quiet"

"Had to book last minute after getting stranded by a very delayed flight. Reception was very friendly, and offered a free beverage when I checked in. Hotel room was a bit small but considering I didn't have a lot of choices, I'm not going to complain. Amenities were great, internet worked great. Only thing was I wished there was a mini fridge in the room, as I had leftovers from ordering food. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay for the short time I was there."

"We came back from a concert to find our room door wide open. It was definitely shut when we left which we found very odd. The shower has great water pressure, but the tub is slow in draining, so while showering we were standing in water that goes above ankle level. Lastly we were on the side of the bard which passes every 2-2.5 minutes and a horn blows every time. This made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise, the hotel is beautiful and the staff are lovely."

"overall it was a great experience! Staff was great and very welcoming and accommodating. The parking was not an issue as where there is a parking garage no less than 5 steps away. I love me some air conditioned hotel rooms so that was 5 star in itself. Everything is walking distance especially petco park. I loved my stay and just having a quiet get away for the weekend. I definitely recommend especially if you don’t want to spend $1000 for a two night stay. 10/10 I’ll probably be back(:!"
