"The wife and I stayed here for 2 nights for a short break in the New Forest. The hotel was great, our room was light and airy. Although a little warm because of the heat wave we were able to open windows on both sides that brought in a draft in the evening which quickly cooled the room down, that and use of the excellent shower meant that we coped easily. "The bunk bed room was perfect for our two younger kids. However, the lack of air conditioning made it difficult to sleep during our stay due to the heat. Once the weather cooled down at night, the large fan helped a lot. Parking was tight, and there are four EV chargers outside, although they are quite expensive at £0.98 per kWh. The rooms are furnished to a high standard and have lots of excellent amenities including a Dyson hairdryer and snacks and tea and coffee maker provided free in the room. "Breakfast was very good, quality products used. The pool area and other amenities are dated. Pool staff didn’t bother removing left towels from beds so you don’t know if someone left them or keeping the bed occupied. Air con in our room was working perfectly, mind that we visited during the heat wave with over 31 degrees."

"Still the best place to stay in Poole. Shower was awesome, enough room to get a rugby union team in!!! Great location near the restaurants on the Quay and a ten minute walk from the train station. Deluxe Room was very spacious and had an iron bath in the corner!! However, mattress was too soft and the pillows too 'fluffy'. Just a personal note, but we needed hard mattresses and 'dull' pillows.
