"We ordered food and drinks outside..it took 20minutes for the drinks to arrive it took a further 10minutes for the food it came without utensils we asked for some bread it took a further 15 minutes to arrive we put it down to short staff !!"

"Nice hotel and location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was good and our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is next to a busy road so if road noise troubles you this may not be the location for you. But otherwise a very enjoyable stay."

"Lovely hotel, staff were excellent and polite. Food was fantastic in the restaurant and good amount of choices for me to choose from being coeliac, breakfast had good options too. We used the pool which was pleasant. Overall a great stay and would recommend. "

"This is a 15th Century building with the stable block converted into accommodation. The room we occupied was very large with all the usual amenities, pristine clean with a huge comfortable bed. The breakfast menu was comprehensive as was the dinner menu. My only suggestion is that a help yourself coffee and tea facility would enhance its facilities.Excellent hotel at the price."

"Another wonderful stay. Fantastic amenities, a lovely twin room with a beautiful bathroom, there was even a Lymington wide power cut at breakfast time and the staff were excellent, doing all they could to keep things running as smoothly as possible and get us all fed. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is fabulous."

"John was an exceptionally good host and we had such a lovely stay in his place. The dog, Quintin, was a big plus! The biggest pluses though was the price and the fact it came with a very generous breakfast served on silver platters as part of the price. With the house itself a Victorian mansion/large estate, this felt like royal treatment. John also went out of his way for us, including letting us check out later and giving us stuff for Easter :) The room also comes with a small but private lounge separate from the rest of the house. The only room for improvement we could think of was around dust etc. and the smell of cigarette smoke, but overall a very lovely and pleasant stay for us in the heart of the New Forest."
