"This was a very nice hotel with excellent facilities including free use of a brolley which came in very handy! Lovely spa and great breakfast. Rooms are on the small size so probably would upgrade next time to a larger room but otherwise couldn’t fault it at all. "

"Brilliant place to stay to avoid having to take the car into Bergen centre. Parking at the hostel was easy, right outside with plenty of space. The private room with en-suite was spotless, and we were provided with sheets to makeup the beds when we arrived, so didn’t have to use our own which was great. Breakfast was delicious, I appreciated all the gluten free bread and crackers and everything being clearly labelled for dietary needs. Easy bus into Bergen centre. Staff were great. Would stay again!"

"A good size room, large in fact. Kettle and tea etc would have been good. Breakfast was pretty good, good service. Very handy for town centre, bus and light rail services to airport. It is getting on in age and the room a bit careworn but still ok."

"My first trip to Norway and I hope to return but I will never stay at another Scandic hotel again. The Scandic Torget does not have enough tables in its restaurant. Two days running, I got up from my breakfast table to go and get another coffee, only to find that somebody had taken the table on my return and there wasn't a thing I could do about it. This is a problem particularly for solo travellers. What are we supposed to do? If we leave a bag, book or mobile phone to show the table is in use and it is stolen, the hotel will call us foolish for leaving it unguarded. I have travelled to 6 continents and I had NEVER previously been in the position where I had to argue/fight with other hotel guests over the right to sit at a table where I had already been seated!! This is a disgusting way for guests to be treated. It doesn't matter that one hour at breakfast might be busier than others, a hotel should still have an adequate number of tables. My advice to people heading for Bergen is to book inn at the Radisson or any other hotel rather than Scandic."

"It was unfortunate that the room that was given to us had deficiencies. The small refrigerator was not working and the wash sink was not draining properly, it literally took 5 minutes to drain. I went down to the lobby to inform them about these. Housekeeping lady came in to check but didn’t say anything on how to resolve the issues. After an hour I went back to follow up but they couldn’t do anything to fix it. We wanted to check out and go to another Hotel but time was not on our side, so we stayed on. Morning after, I spoke to Front Desk (Tiril), she wasn’t aware of the issues, as nothing was communicated. She apologized for the inconvenience and gave us an upgraded room. It is disappointing that a room was given to a guest having with known issues. Poor communication between departments and to the GM."

"Stayed for 3 nights with family.The hotel location is good and close to supermarket and other amenities. It's a 20 minute walk to train station. No tea or coffeemaking facilities in room.In common area were there were facilitaties for coffee and tea,the tray was empty on a lot of occasions and when we asked staff just kept pointing at paid machine which was not very helpful. Self check in works well and also good facilities to store luggage. "
