"We stayed in the Gem suite and everything was top notch. Room was spacious. Bathroom was well stocked and large. Extra touches, I.e. wine and fruits on arrival were perfect. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our breakfasts. There was plenty of selection and lots of new dishes to try. Anna was very friendly. The location of the hotel was perfect. We could walk wherever we needed to go."

"2 adults + 2 year old. 6 night stay. PROs - very good breakfast, quiet room (3rd floor), very good location, twice daily turndown. CONs - pool was really dirty (murky, mouldy and slippery on the bottom - we ended up with skin rashes!), pool area cramped and very little shade available which is a problem in 37 degree days, hotel staff weren’t very warm / attentive ie help with opening door for pram 50% of the time (except Rosie at breakfast), hotel restaurants had zero ambience. At the price point for Hanoi it was hit and miss, so we wouldn’t stay again but may suit other travellers more than it suited us."

"Nice hotel with excellent staff. Anh (Jane), I believe is the hotel manager and went to every effort to assist me. It is located in the heart of the Old Quarter on beer street and can be intense for the first timer coming in and out of the hotel at night. The touts are mostly friendly and I didn't hear any of the noise from Beer Street suggesting that the rooms are sound proofed well."

"Location ***** right at the center of Old Quarter Room ***** real king size bed, fluffy pillows, fresh sheets daily, very very restful sleep every night Staff ***** everyone were welcoming, courteous, smiling, attentive and helpful. Well freed in clean crisp uniforms Breakfast ***** both Vietnamese and western, freshly made coffee of your choice including cold brew Red Bean Restaurant ***** the 9 course culinary delicacy for 4 is excellent. Try it. Sky Bar ***** great for happy hour"

"This hotel had a very clean room there was nothing that was disgusting. The staffs hospitality was very kind they used to crack some jokes, the staff was great. Breakfast was also delicious but they don’t frequently change the menu they do it very little. The hotel location was very good it was walkable to all of the famous food restaurants and shops. Overall my experience with Meritel Hotel was very good the room was very nice, the staffs hospitality was very good and friendly, breakfast was also delicious but they didn’t change the menu that much, and the location was very good.Thank you, Meritel for a wonderful stay!!Sincerely, Abhishek Singh"
