"Amazing hotel, very modern and spacious rooms! "

"Good location close to the station and the city centre. We booked to stay 3 nights and checked out after just one. Had upgraded to a minster view room, which did have a nice river view and the room looked nice enough. However, the mattress was so hard that we might as well have been sleeping on the floor. "We stayed at this property in May 2026. While the staff were extremely kind and helpful, the air conditioner in our room was not working and they refused to change our room since they were all booked and declined a refund/compensation too. When you pay £137 a night the least you expect is for the air conditioner to work especially when it’s been a hot day and you’re on the top floor of the hotel. Pretty poor for a ‘Marriott’ hotel. Avoid at all costs."

"Unfortunately in our room the ventilation was not working and had a error come up if you tried to restart the air conditioning. We did not really need air conditioning for cooling that much but just flowing air would have been much nicer as the room but a bit muggy and musky because lack of air flow. Windows did open a bit we found so that did help. Room was well fitted out but some things did not work, usb ports along side bed, fan in bathroom. Not a deal breaker but could have been better for...
