"Room was nice and clean and as a family of 5 it was nice to be all in one room.
Unfortunately the room was above the kitchen and it was boiling most of the night. The hotel gave us fans and we had the windows open but didn’t help much.

"Friendly welcome on arrival . room was relatively small but well equipped and clen. Bed was comfortable. Dinner in the evening was excellent and all bar prices were very reasonable. while there was some ongoing construction in the hotel grounds, there was still the ability to take a short stroll around the grounds. Definitely worthy of a short stay."

"Beautiful building and wildlife on the grounds is charming. Restaurant only open until 8pm and breakfast starts at 8am, so consider your timings when arriving/leaving. I had booked a room with two beds but it hadn’t been set up like that, you need to ask the hotel to do this before arriving as there is no additional staff to do it on the day so me and a friend had to share one bed. Clean bathroom and bedroom."

"Looked to book same day and online at 21:15. Accommodation was offered for booking and was booked and paid for in full at 21:15. Landlord then kicked off at the attempt to check in because he closes check in at 21:00…."
"Really comfortable, quiet and clean bedroom, the bathroom was on the small side and not as nice as the rest of the room (still nice enough). The staff were friendly but seemed very busy so they just gave us the key and pointed us in the direction of the outbuiling where our bedroom was located. If you have heavy luggage or struggle with stairs our room would not be for you as there were some very steep stairs."
"All the staff we met were great, cheerfull helpfull and polite. The room was clean and comfortable and what one expects in a very old building. Only 4 stars for 2 reasons the shower only worked on the large head and the food choices were very limited both in the restaurant and at breakfast. No salads and limited vegetables in restaurant.No fruit or cereal at breakfast. The hotel is remote which is part of it's appeal for us so going out in the evening is not an option,I would have struggled...
