"The room is spacious. Onsen is warm and comfortable. The view from the open air Onsen is so amazing at night. The bar closes a bit too early.
The service is excellent. The hotel staff are very nice and friendly, some do speak English.
The pick up service is great. We are so grateful that they even drove us to the Beppu when we left the hotel. We are able to catch our express train all thanks to the staff who agreed to take us there.

"The stay at KAI Beppu was nothing short of amazing. It was my first time in Beppu, and staying at KAI made the experience truly memorable. The sea-view shakkei was beautiful and definitely the highlight.
The room was well-sized, and the indoor onsen was a godsend. The kaiseki meals were also delicious, and choosing the half-board option was a great decision.
The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always smiling. I would definitely come back and explore more KAI and Hoshino Resorts...

1) There are both indoor and outdoor onsen. For the uninitiated, Onsen are Japanese natural hot springs, the water comes up from the earth hotter than the tap water and is both clean and free! The pipe down to the earth spring source is quite long, and thus there will be a lot of cooled water and cold pipe between the source and the house. Therefore when turning the Onsen taps on (these are very obviously oversized taps...
