"Comfortable bed. Good shower. Much cheaper than Radisson."

"Everything about the hotel was fabulous. All staff were friendly, welcoming and polite. Good location. Breakfast was fantastic with a great selection of food and drinks. Plenty of shops and bars around the hotel. Convenient location for the coop live arena and the Etihad Stadium. All in all a great place to stay. Thank you to everyone who looked after us during our stay."

"The Alan is my go-to for when I’m in Manchester."

"Excellent location!"

"The hotel is my favoyrite hotel in Manchester. The rooms and communal areas are spotless and the staff are helpfull and friendly. The ambience is laid back and relaxing. Will always stay here when in the city."

"The location was fantastic, super convenient for travellers. The room was comfy, clean and the staff were friendly. Plus, the welcome cookies were delicious!"

"The staff were great and the majority of the hotel was ok. The bathroom fixtures were poor and about 40 yrs out of date. Also found a sock from a previous guest so room not exactly cleaned properly."

"Overall experience was good!"

"We used the shuttle but it was a long wait - much longer than the 20 to 30 minutes as advertised. We gave up and took a taxi. This may be out of the shuttle's control, but all the guests who were going to flights were dropped off at the arrival floor instead of the departure floor - rather inconvenient."

"The staff here are lovely and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location ideal for accessing the Co-op Live arena. The reason I only gave it 3 stars was because the air con/heater unit in my room was rattling, clicking and banging all night. Tried switching it off but it just kept rattling anyway and it was too cold not to have the heating on. I barely slept, horrendous night. I told the guy at the desk when I checked out, received an apology and a promise to get maintenance...

"The stay was fantastic and the staff were amazing"

"An unexpected stay for us as the trains back home were cancelled, so the hotel was a welcome retreat from a stressful situation. The room was beautiful and spacious. Really comfortable Super king sized bed. The breakfast was amazing- despite being very busy with all the stranded travellers, it didn't feel too crowded or rushed. Will definitely stay again under different circumstances."

"Excellent choice if using Manchester Piccadilly"

"Beautifully appointed and really cosy, despite how spacious the rooms are. Staff are very friendly and happy to help. I was a bit surprised that the rooms didn't offer more amenities or extra comforts as standard, like fresh milk or biscuits, or vanity kits. Appreciate these are environmental considerations, but providing them at an extra charge feels a bit steep given the usual cost of a room here."

"The uber so small and the lighting was terrible"

"Brilliant location, reasonable price and enjoyable decor. Room service dinner was also great from Pip."

"Modern clean room. Good breakfast. Plenty of parking. Handy for tram to Etihad, Coop Live or into Manchester centre."
