"The hotel is overrated. There are no managers on weekend or after 5pm. Staff just nods and no action taken or acknowledged. In two days, there were multiple instances where the hot water stops coming esp. for a very cold place. Water will immediately turn cold. My family were scared to take even shower. There are room with another building right next to it so there is no view. We landed in getting a accessible room. The third bed was placed next to the wall mounted heater where it gets hot and...
"Loa's Nest is an absolute gem. The family is so nice and eager to help. This place is spotless, comfortable and welcoming. Best stay we had in on the ring road."
"I made a reservation for two rooms four months ahead of traveling. We were placed in different buildings. There was no reception desk just a table placed right outside our room door. We knew there were shared bathrooms but on one of the buildings the shared bathroom was down a floor and through two long halls. The breakfast room was also right outside our door, we had to walk across the hall to the shared bathroom basically open to the breakfast area. Not a reasonable set up and we would not...
"This hotel has received a recent update and the rooms have been tastefully modernized. The bathroom, particularly the shower is tight bit manageable.
The issues experienced during our stay were with the hot water and the amenities. The shower controls appear to lack any sort of pressure-balancing valve. The result is that during even a quick shower, the temperature of the water can fluctuate between scolding hot and freezing cold. I assume that this is a result of changing water demands as...
"The rooms were spacious in this out in the country hotel. The breakfast was generous and started early. Our room had a slight plumbing problem, but it did not affect our stay at all."
"The property was just OK. Good for a short one night stop. The shower/ bathroom water smelled very strong of sulfur so that was unpleasant. The breakfast spread was good. It’s self check in so you are sort of on your own if you have questions. It was misleading to say the hotel dinner restaurant had waterfall views because that’s actually at the sister property not this property so you have to walk or drive over there for dinner. I would recommend this only as a short budget hotel stay option."
