"The Nest House is a small boutique hotel around a kilometer east of the old part (Chinatown/Jonker Walk) of Malacca. The hotel is off the main street, so it's quiet, and the property is well-designed and well-cared for. The staff are friendly and attentive and I had a great stay (just over a week). The hotel is shoes-off at the front door, and there's no gym or pool or restaurant or any of that. There are plenty of excellent food options nearby, including a shopping mall with a supermarket, and...
"Air conditioning was working but not strong. Able to cool the room but was noisy and felt stuffy during midnight. Location is the best, breakfast was ok. Overall very affordable with secure parking"
"The hotel is managed with a 24-hr check in counter with housekeeping on standby, Daily room cleaning or towel change is not provided unless if you request for it.
The breakfast provides a wide variety and the food was fresh and delicious.
One downside is the elevator crowd during peak hours where we had to wait a long time for the elevator to arrive and a long time inside the elevator to reach our floor. The hotel tried to mitigate the situation by having a staff to operate the elevator but...
"The courtyard Heeren Boutique Hotel is centrally located within the historic Old Town, in a beautiful traditional Malacca building. The room and bed were very comfortable and quiet, the shower and bathroom was great, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. I had a good stay here. The only comment is that although there is a window in the room facing an interior light court, the wood shutters were always closed. It would have been nice to have the shutters open during the day with a...
"Can’t beat the price. Perfectly comfortable and cute design. No windows to the outside, as the concept is small chalets in a warehouse. Perfectly good clean and original with a nice local vibe."
"DO NOT STAY HERE.
This was a horrible hotel. Rooms were disgusting, bathrooms had mould and were miserable.
The noise until 1am on a mid week night was very very loud."
"Staff are friendly. Room clean but there's only soap dispenser. No shampoo. Wifi really very bad. I have to use my own data. U can only check-in exactly 3pm, no compromise about it. Not like some other hotels. I don't think i will go to this hotel again."
"suit for those who are don't mind about cleanliness. basically, all clean but the visual doesn't say so. got stain on the towel and bed sheet. more to improper maintenance after so long of service (which means the pictures is longg ago) dirty toilet and no holder for water heater. but we are survived there, nearly want to cancel but its ok, just sleep cos we checked in quite late. staff is welcoming and easy to deal."
