"The property is unique stairs are narrow but there is a lift. Breakfasts are good but what a performance to pay for them.Breakfasts should be included in price like most establishments.Nice touch to offer a free drink in exchange for not servicing room."
"An old building with historic interest situated in a town with many interesting old building which is well worth a walk around.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meals and Sunday carvery were tasty and specials were explained.
A thing to note is that there is no lift so mobility needs to be good to walk up stairs which was not a problem for us.
Enjoyed our stay here and will be back next year as still much more to explore in the ares"
"Appearance was very drab, in need of renovation. Very basic furniture, extremely noisy cistern when flushing the loo. Overhead light in the bathroom was full of dead insects etc, wires hanging down from the television. Black mould on the windows. Tea bags not sealed but loose in a plastic container and not fresh.
On a positive note the bed was comfortable and the linen was clean.
The cooked breakfast was very nice."
"Efficient and friendly staff, clean rooms with all the facilities you need. Evening meal and service was excellent couldn’t fault my stay would definitely recommend."
"Enjoyed stay both this time and also previous stay, excellent customer service
Never have I had to think about the cleanliness or good service as I’d give it a rating of 10/10 on every aspect of the stays"
"Ben was really helpful, despite being on his own. Room was comfortable, bathroom looked new and toiletries were provided. Breakfast was provided and was good"
"I very rarely post a bad review; I normally don't post a review at all if I haven't liked it. However, we booked The Croft based on the number of 5* reviews it had. On a positive, the location of this B&B is perfect - really close to the High Street. However, we've stayed in a lot of places, both higher and lower end, depending on our requirements, and I'm sorry to say that this is probably one of the worst places we've stayed at. The room and en-suite were possibly the smallest we've ever...
"Nice place but the room I had was next door to a nightclub. Friday and Saturday night were really noisy. So much so that I asked to move rooms on the Saturday.
To be fair this was not a problem for the staff who accommodated my request.
Other than the noise late at night, no issues."
