"I was in Rm 4, a small twin with ensuite. The window opened (hood) but unfortunately, right onto the alley where the cooking fan vented. It was quite loud but did stop before bedtime.
Breakfast was surprisingly included and very tasty. Did not have dinner as there was nothing small that I wanted to eat. I was later told by a customer that you could order half portions of the main menu items. I didn’t realize this and would have done so.
Good drafts on tap, staff were friendly but the room...
"We have just stayed here for 4 nights and would highly recommend. The room was very clean and had everything we needed .Even though we were on the ground floor at the back we did not experience any noise from the bar or restaurant. In fact the only noise we heard was the cars on the gravel in the car park.
The food was excellent there was so much choice for breakfast. The evening menu was amazing all locally sourced food. We tried several dishes and all of them were so tasty and the portions...
"On arrival we were greeted well and efficiently, however there was not really enough staff to cover everything. Staff were friendly and very helpful . I booked for three nights and expected three full English breakfasts. Unfortunately upon arrival we were informed that there was no chef for Saturday morning while this was disappointing we were assured all would be ok for Sunday and Monday morning . On Sunday there was a full English which was good, however Monday morning chef failed to turn up...
"The stay was good. The accommodations were clean and beds very comfortable. Clean, hot and plenty of water pressure in the cottage.
Toilet paper was almost empty in bathroom.
Hard to find unit when arriving to park because the number was not posted in the email communication and the phone number provided was out of service."
"Lovely cosy cottage, perfect for dogs , tiled floor and lots of places to walk. We didn t have time to use the pool or snooker tables , but planning to return
Lovely to find a welcome card , hand written from the owners and a bottle of wine ."
"We were in town for the Race Across Scotland - crew stayed here throughout the week, and two of us who ran it were here after we finished. Was a close drive to Cocksburnpath, and to other surrounding areas. Great spot for 4 folks, and having laundry was a huge bonus. Lovely property."
"Arrived at the property after having booked through Expedia due to having a previous booking cancelled on our way to Berwick due to a broken bed. We were greeted by a lady saying that there was no booking, on showing her our confirmation email she still claimed that we couldn’t have possibly booked as she only takes bookings Saturday to Saturday. After arguing with her for several minutes , she agreed to letting us have a room( the exact room in the photo I had booked) but said we couldn’t have...
