"From the moment we arrived the staff were really attentive and friendly. We felt very welcome and amongst friends. The room was clean and comfortable with a fabulous view of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was cooked to order and they brought exactly what was ordered too. A good selection to choose from. We did eat in the restaurant the first evening and the food, wine and service was excellent. "Excellent value for money. Spotlessly clean. Staff could not of been more friendly and helpful as well as being professional. Excellent food. Our room was spacious well laid out and spotless. "

"The pictures on the site do not represent the reality of this hotel. It’s currently very run down and in need of lots of work. We stayed for 3 nights, we only had 3 towels and although we asked for more twice, were not given any and they weren’t changed during our stay. The bathroom looked new but unfinished. There was nowhere to put shampoo etc. in the shower, the floor was slippy (I bought a rubber mat for them) the toilet flush was dodgy and neither the fan or light above the mirror worked....

"I find stairs very difficult and we were on the third floor. NOT much fun. as most of the other visitors were as old is not older than me I guess i was not the only one. They were unable to offer a change of room as they said they were full. However we never saw another soul on the corridor we were in and linen outside the door of two rooms remained there for the whole of our stay, we don't think we had any neighbours! It can't be easy in a listed building that cannot have lifts. the walk...
