"Clean twin room with plenty of space. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Good shower and good breakfast buffet. The hotel is in a great central location within a few minutes walk of Liverpool Lime street railway station and many tourist attractions including Cavern Club and Albert dock"

"We have stayed at the Adelphi on numerous occasions but this might be the last. The shabby splendour has reached a new bottom. The bar had an unpleasant smell as did the communal areas. You could not use the front doors due to refurbishment. The Matress in our room was terrible and really hard...we did not sleep well. We overheard another couple saying they had been woken up by someone kicking a door in further down the corridor on the same floor as ours. Unsavoury characters also hanging around...
