"I love this hotel so much it was my second visit. I describe it as wholesome. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is superb for train station (2mins), city wallls (5 mins) and parkrun start line (5 min walk) Lucca is special and well worth a visit. I will certainly be back next next to stay and this lovely little hotel but please don’t forget the 3 mins plug adapter for Italy and not a standard EU plug."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel San Marco. Pietro was kind and knowledgeable and the staff at breakfast were also extremely nice and fast to respond. Breakfasts were fine and the room was very comfortable. The bar came in handy as well. Here are the only negatives: no facial tissues (not a huge deal but it was just a bit strange. "Hôtel hors temps de la modernité, aspect extérieur de l'établissement ancien, mais qui a du brillé lors de son apogée. Malgré cela, l'endroit est beau, calme, agréable, les chambres sont fonctionnelles, dont celles avec vue sur le lac, tout est correct le petit déjeuner, le restaurant avec ses menus copieux, délicieux, de bons produits à prix correct. personnel serviable et excellent rapport qualité/prix"

"Hotel con poca higiene, huele mal y el personal"

"The hotel is inside the city walls. Upon arrival by car, get instructions from the front desk before you venture beyond the city gates. The hotel is old but very comfortable, clean, and efficient. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is limited, so confirm a space when reserving. The bonus is you cannot get any more centrally located. I would stay here again, for sure."

"The hotel was great - not a five star but for the price it was excelent value. The old style building and decor were lovely and it felt like an authentice Italian hotel - much better than the often 'faceless' hotel chains. Bellisimo!"

"Good accommodation for trnasit, however the breackfest booked separately was awful. I do not recommend the breakfest here."
