"This is the worst hotel I have stayed on. We were put in the motel part, like pontins but 20 years older! Front door had light shining through it, light was hanging with loose wires, dead flies, spiders, cob webs, stains on sheets, bed side lights no light bulbs, grouting yellow in bathroom and windows held in with lose paint
I did ring to complain but they weren't interested.
The hole building needs knocking down.
I got an email to say it's being refurbished, and to bear with them. If you...
"Suitable for a short stay but not long as space is very limited in the family room. The spare bed was a sofa bed which was very springy and you could feel the springs. Tv was problematic and didnt work. Other than the negatives mentioned- the main bed was comfy and the bathroom was in good condition."
"The hotel was clean. The staff were courteous and helpful but the only problem which was never solved was the clogged tub in the bathroom. Water is slowly draining down the tub."
"Staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly plus the breakfast scrambled eggs were delicious. However the property is a little tired looking. My specific room was very dark as several ceiling bulbs had gone and the bedside lights were extremely dim so difficult to read by them. Also both the mirrors were very high. I’m 5.3 and could only see top of my head in the bathroom mirror. These things could be easily fixed."
"I stayed at this hotel thankfully for only one night. The pictures of the room on Expedia were nothing like the reality, they were different rooms and so very misleading. The bathroom and bedroom radiators didn't work and neither did the TV. We called the night porter who brought us an inefficient portable radiator and a TV with around 10 channels, most of which were ineffective. The curtains didn't meet in the middle allowing light from the station to stream into the room all night long. The...
"Firstly this is in no way a reflection of the staff who are fantastic....
This hotel is so tired it's awful. I understand it's old but thats no excuse for zero maintenance. 2 double sockets in the room, both had only one working properly. The safety procedure sheet from the back of the door was on the floor next to the broken coat hanger. The bed base has an awful stain on it which is right in view. 2 windows have no curtains. There is only one chair in the room, which is falling apart, and no...
"Hotel is a bit dated but all clean which is the main thing. Quick one night stay. Arrived late and checked out early due to our plans so can’t comment on much tbh. Hotel was quiet so got a decent nights sleep"
"Will not be returning, staff not helpful at all, dog friendly but couldn’t even let the dog have a sausage at breakfast as they had ran out, they had also ran out of biscuits for the room, garden peas and orange juice. Not a cheap nights stay so these things should not be running out!! Best staff were the morning we were leaving, had they had been on all weekend it would have made it a more pleasant stay"
