Top Cano Island Hotel Reviews
Casita Genesis
10/10 Excellent
"It was a beautiful place to stay right on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing and the birds chirping. Very close to restaurants and all of the tours and the host was awesome and very accommodating! Highly recommend!"
Drake Bay Sunset Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"House was exactly as advertised and had a great view. There was a berry tree in front of the house and every day two red Macaws would perch there followed by two toucans. The breakfast was great and you can walk down the stairs right to the beach. The only drawback was the hike up to the house, but everything else was perfect."
Natural Drake Bay Hotel Boutique
10/10 Excellent
"Mariadelia welcomed us to the hotel with smoothies and refreshing towels. She was such an angel our whole stay. She anticipated our needs, answered our questions, and helped us book activities. I hope she gets paid highly because she certainly deserves it! We also loved talking with the bartender, Diego who was a sweetie. One of the chefs, Randall also came over and took a picture of me and my husband without us having to ask. Everyone on staff clearly works hard to upkeep this lovely getaway. The food was delicious, the pool was refreshing, and we LOVED having access to the private beach! We are already talking about coming back to celebrate an anniversary- see you then Natural Drake Bay Hotel!"
Hotel Jinetes de Osa
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay here! We were up in one of the rooms on the hill which had amazing views of the bay as well as great opportunities for birdwatching. The room itself was super clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great proximity to the nature trail as well! We would stay again for sure."

What is the difference between a 4-star and 3-star hotel in Cano Island?
The biggest difference between a 3- and 4-star hotel in Cano Island is the standard of service and access to creature comforts. Three-star hotels are typically more affordable and come with the amenities and services required to ensure your comfort, such as breakfast, WiFi and a gym. You can expect a little bit more at a 4-star hotel — think upscale décor, deluxe bathroom products and perks like spa centers.
What is the difference between a 3-star hotel and a motel in Cano Island?
One of the benefits of reserving a motel in or near Cano Island is economical rates. This means extra pennies in your pocket for activities and tours. Often set near airports and major roads, and with ample parking, this property type is popular among road trippers. When you check in to a 3-star hotel, you'll get more than just a cozy room to sleep in. You'll also typically have access to conveniences like business services and a lobby.
